A great vacation; home before dark!

Today, I left the office in time to get home before dark. Yea! Of course, I missed lunch... oh well.

I'm also digging out from a FAB vacation in Northern California. A week of sunshine, walking outdoors, seeing friends AND watching Stanford win a football game-- all very cool. :)

Carlos Santana

I saw Carlos Santana at the Shoreline Amphitheater Saturday night. It was a terrific show. They play for almost three hours, and almost with out a break. Often one song would lead immediately to the next. I am not a music critic so I will leave it to others to elaborate.

It is here because it was something nice that I did for me. I sat next to my date and tapped my foot, or more often stood (with everyone else) and danced.

I am not a great planner. In the bay area that tends to mean that you don't go to many venues that require tickets, but sometimes you get lucky. I got decent tickets the afternoon of the show on Craig's List.

The planets aligned briefly and I had a great time. It was a nice thing I did for me.
